Bring the pain! Gloria lookout, located next door to Elk Mountain (Chilliwack, Fraser Valley area), is everything that Elk Mountain is, but longer and more miserable. Sounds tantalizing? Well, come on down!

I am a moderate hiker at a slightly moderate pace, which means I tend to fall behind the more fit variety. I have hiked this beast before, and survived. 

You are a moderately fit hiker, or better. You have some background in hiking, all the basic equipment.

Yes, it will likely rain, possibly a lot. This trip can be done in the rain, but we can negotiate a smaller objective (Elk Mountain, Tea Pot Hill) if it is starting to look ridiculous.

Meet up at Carvolth Exchange Park and Ride at 8AM. I am leaving from Kitsilano at 5th and Yew, and would be happy to carpool. I will give late comers a 10 minute window, but no more.

I will bring: a hiking pole, microspikes, warm clothing, a change of clothing, rain gear, waterproof light hiking boots.
