This is a work trip to put up some trailhead signs for the Beverley Creek and Hanging Lake ski trails in the Callaghan Valley. These trails were developed to enhance backcountry access and to "stake our claim" in the area. So far the trails have proven to be quite popular and they will be easily accessible again next season after being blocked last year for the Olympics.
The task for this particular trip is to pour concrete foundations for the two large trailhead signs. Two pours will be required - one for the base pad on Saturday and one for the vertical columns on Sunday. There are two sites. One is next to a road, and the other is about 150m up the trail from the nearest vehicle access so we'll have to carry the concrete mix a short distance. I expect this to take most of the day on Saturday, but only a couple hours on Sunday so we will have the rest of the day to go for a hike. I should be able to secure my parent's condo in Whistler to stay overnight. Otherwise we can camp somewhere nearby.
If you only have one day available, that's totally fine. I have cross posted this trip with the VOC.
