Trip Description

The presentation will be by Margo Talbot, discussing guiding in Antarctica.

Margo has lived and breathed the Canadian Rockies for the better part of 20 years. With a tick list that includes classic grade 6 ice routes like Curtain Call, Weeping Pillar, and Whiteman?s Falls, (not too mention over 20 first ascents in North America), Margo is amongst a handful of Canadian women to climb at that level. She has competed at ice climbing competitions throughout North America, including Ouray, Canmore, and the ESPN X-Games.

Her writing has appeared in numerous North American magazines, has seen her appear as guest editor for Gripped, and as a committee member for the Alpine Club of Canada?s mountain culture magazine, The Gazette. Margo was also a contributor and editor for the bible to Canadian ice climbing, Waterfall Ice.

She now lives in Vancouver and has set her sights on visiting the wildest places left on Earth.
