Looking to check this off my to-do list over the long weekend. We will approach from Cheakamus lake.

Day 1: Drive to Cheakamus lake parking lot early Saturday, hike past Helm Creek campground and camp above Helm glacier or col between Gentian Peak and Castle Towers. Helm Creek campsite is fully booked, that's why we have to camp inside wilderness camping zone, $16 fee. Distances provided assume we camp at the col: 15km total, 1000m vertical displacement, 1400m gained, 400m lost.

Day 2: Ascend to West summit, those who feel comfortable can attempt middle summit. Return to camp and follow same route back to car. 21km total. 1300m gain, 3100m lost.

Other important info:

• Trip requires good weather
• I don't have a car, so without another participant who is able to drive to the Cheakamus parking lot we will have to reschedule.
• Participants will need high level of fitness to cover distance and experience in class 4 terrain
• I'd like to do a quick zoom meeting before trip to make sure everyone is properly equipped and prepared
• I will bring a short rope and some gear for final scramble, along with a helmet and backcountry camp equipment.
