Overnight trip with scrambles to Sky Pilot and the Co-Pilot. This trip will probably involve some snow travel, as well as scrambling up to 4th class. All participants must know how to self arrest, belay and rappel.
Itinerary:
Saturday:
Sunday:
These scrambles go up to high 4th class with some exposure. We will be carrying ropes and will have the option to rope up for any of the crux sections (most have bolted anchors). We will be rappelling off of Co-Pilot.
In addition to your regular hiking and camping gear, the following equipment is mandatory for all participants:
I will bring the following gear to be shared amongst the group: 2x 30m climbing ropes, anchor materials, InReach, radios
Vehicles
A 4x4 vehicle with decent clearance (e.g., Subaru Forrester, Nissan Xterra or better) is needed to drive up the Shannon FSR. Let me know if you have a suitable vehicle and if you are willing to drive other people. We will work out spots for those that don't have a vehicle.
