I've reserved a permit to climb and ski Mt. Rainier via Emmons-Winthrop over the June 3rd-4th weekend, staying overnight at Emmons Flats (just above Camp Schurman) on Sat the 3rd and making a summit attempt on Sunday the 4th before returning to the lower mainland on Sunday evening.
Rainier is a serious mountain, and while the Emmons-Winthrop is not a particularly technical route, it is not maintained by guiding services.

Schedule:
Friday, June 2nd: Drive down in the evening and camp at Silver Springs Campground (~4.5h drive from Vancouver, site already reserved). Leaving time will depend on everyone’s availability, I am off work at 1pm.
Saturday, June 3rd: Pick up permits at White River ranger station. Ascend to Emmons Flats and early bedtime.
Sunday, June 4th: Alpine start. Attempt on summit and descend back to White River trailhead. Return to Vancouver.
This trip is contingent on a good weather window and acceptable avalanche risk. We'll evaluate weather in the days prior to departure and adjust plans as necessary. In case of a poor forecast this trip may change to a different objective.
The following is required of all participants:
Previous ski mountaineering experience in an unguided trip
Expert level skier, capable of competently skiing 40° slopes in any conditions
Training in glacier travel, crevasse rescue, and avalanche skills
Appropriate equipment and familiarity with its use
Experience at higher altitudes, ideally above 3K meters/10K feet elevation
Valid passport/necessary documents, and ability to enter America
Valid travel insurance that appropriately covers mountaineering and backcountry skiing
Due to the limitations of the permit, this group is strictly capped in size.
