It's the Camel! I started off making this a mentorship trip, but it is such a classic BCMC trip (note the circa 1935 picture on the Camel's head below - Alf Staley Collection), I thought I'd open it to the public. The Camel is behind Crown Mountain, making this a long, big day. The standard route is a 5.2 (plenty of info online about this route). There are other routes, and I am interested in a 5.6 called the Hind Leg (I'm not sure there is online beta on it). 

So, preference will go to interested parties who are self sufficient and can lead themselves up one of these routes. In the true spirit of a BCMC trip, and as I haven't done this route yet, preference will also go to participants who are prepared to help with the logistics and route finding. Apologies in advance: I will be picky in selecting participants, and this trip might not be filled. It all depends on the availability and willingness of a co-leader.

I walk and climb at a moderate speed, so this isn't a trip for FKA record breakers. I don't know what my GG time is. Probably over an hour. Unencumbered. So, if you too are of reasonable fitness, but are comfortable walking at a casual speed, with the opportunity to stop and enjoy the view, absorb the history of the route and the area, swap hilarious stories of epic failures, then this is the trip for you.

To save a little juice, I will take the gondola up, so we will meet at the top of the gondola at ~9AM. Gear will be sorted in the forum, depending on the group size and objectives.
