Last year we attempted Ipsoot but were turned back 100m from the summit in a white-out. I have a .gpx of the route I can share.
The approach involves turning off the Rutherford Creek FSR and taking a branch FSR to a cutblock at about 50.18'16''N 122.54'43"W (check out Google Maps), and then contouring round into the Pemberton Creek valley and approaching the east side of Ipsoot via the glacier. This approach is quite pleasant and involves minimal travel through forest.
We will need a 4x4 vehicle with good clearance to get as high as possible up the branch FSR.
The trip is weather-dependent. At the moment the long-range forecast is calling for a hot day.
AST1 and decent fitness a prerequisite. Crevasse rescue knowledge would be preferable but given the time of year I don't think crevasses will be a major concern, and we can decide closer to the time how much crevasse gear to bring.
