The plan is to ski or snowshoe up to the cabin via the winter trail and take a low avi risk route that goes through the trees for the last km and avoids the obvious avalanche paths that the route often crosses.  The new route is flagged with tape, but I hope to add about 50 permanent trail markers to the route on the way up.  Probably about an hour of trail work added to the tour.  We may venture a bit beyond the cabin if weather and conditions are appropriate.  The Watersprite road requires an AWD vehicle.  This will be a moderately fast-paced trip.  You should be able to hike the Grouse Grind or equivalent in about an hour or less.
