Chill pace day, not large and in charge. Saturday forecast shows a lot of snow coming which means the avalanche rating will be HIGH on Sunday. You MUST feel comfortable making decisions and finding safe terrain on a high-rating day.
This trip isn't suitable for newbies. You're capable of route planning, familiar with Blackcomb backcountry /resort terrain, contributing to a safety meeting and able to ski all types of terrain (powder, crud, ice, etc). You're confident to downhill ski trees—ungroomed and tight areas.
Whistler Blackcomb access is required.
**If Blackcomb backcountry access doesn't open, plan will be to ski resort**
