A long but mellow tour out to the Columnar/Gargoyles bowl above Elfin Lakes.

Roundtrip 27km and 1300m gain. Expect a moderate pace.

Participants should expect and be fit enough for a long day. Also, intermediate or better ski ability, you must be able to safely and confidently descend the road down from Red Heather even in icy conditions. Sunset is still early so be prepared to potentially finish the descent in the dark.

Everyone should be prepared enough to contribute to safety/condition discussions and be capable of navigating using your preferred device/app etc. AST-1 is a requirement.
