I'm stranded in vancouver for the holidays, so I'm going to make the most of it by heading out skiing as much as possible.
I have a couple ideas for lines I'd like to do in the Joffre Lakes/Duffey area, and depending on snow conditions and danger ratings I'd like to tick off at least one of the following over this two-day period!
1. Laps on Lazyboy (mellow runs directly south of Cayoosh peak). Easiest, lowest risk.
2. Attempting to summit Cayoosh and ski down the direct skin track (a la John Baldwin). Steepest and most involved.
3. Flip around to the other side and try either Heartstrings and/or laps on Tszil. A moderate option.
Significant snow is forecast for this period (mainly Tuesday afternoon) so we'll have to closely monitor the weather conditions. I'm thinking options 1/3 will be most feasible. Come join me!
