Companion rescue practice for those who already have Companion Rescue / AST training. Location will most likely be Seymour, but to be confirmed in the planning forum. Meet 5pm. Finish around 9pm. That gives us around 4 hours and we are planning to practice actual digging so be prepared for that (spare dry layers etc). Please be clear that you will get hot and sweaty during digging, it is extremely hard work.
Bring: Warm and weatherproof layers, avalanche beacon shovel probe, snacks and water, 10 essentials, headlamp and spare batteries. We will most likely be hiking to the practice location so please be prepared for that.
Hopefully can arrange some carpooling from the bottom of the hill.
This is not a course and is not a substitute for a course. Intended as a practice session for those who already have the training and need to refresh skills.
