This course is for BCMC members who are snowshoers wanting to learn to avoid avalanches, travel safely in the backcountry, and build their arsenal of mountain knowledge. 

Base course Fee: $230 + GST (Special price for BCMC Members; CWMS Non-BCMC Fee: $285 + GST)

Location: Mount Seymour**

**Note: in the event there is not adequate snow in mountains around Vancouver (most likely Mount Seymour), it may be pushed later in the season.

Course Objectives:

The AST-1 Course is delivered during the week (17 hours total). For more information on the course curriculum, click here

Notes:

• Cost does not include transportation to/from course areas, lift access fees (if applicable), or personal equipment except as noted
• You must supply your own snowshoe setup. If you do not have your own equipment, you can rent from MEC Vancouver or from BCMC rentals.
