BCMC AGM and Spirit of the Canoe
presentation by Chris G. Cooper

**** This presentation will be subsidized by the BCMC. While not mandatory, we will be collecting cash donations at the door to help with the subsidy. Thank you!****

The night will begin with the annual BCMC Annual General Meeting
followed by a talk from Chris Cooper.

'Spirit of the Coast' is about 4 different canoes traveling the Coast of BC with visits to many communities from Alaska to Vancouver, including many visits with our First Nations people. The 4 different canoes have been beautifully painted to represent our coastline.

Some of these journeys have been months in length following the grandfathers journey. All these journeys have had amazing impacts on hundreds of people. The most interesting aspect of these journeys is the Youth exchange programs between the Shetland Island, Orkney islands and Canada's First Nations communities.

The AGM & Social will take place at the Vancouver ANZA Club main floor (corner of 8th Ave and Ontario) on Tuesday, November 8th. The entrance door will open at 7 pm and we will begin the evening at 7:30 PM with the BCMC Annual General Meeting. Please note: you must be 19+ years old to attend and may be asked to sign-in at the door to ensure we don't exceed 117 people in the hall. Once at capacity we will be forced to turn attendees away. Feel free to grab a drink at the bar before the social starts.
