By joining this trip, you understand and agree to the following:

Avalanche safety gear (transceiver, shovel, probe) is optional for this trip as I select the route to meet these criteria:

• Avoiding avalanche terrain by keeping to low angle terrain.
• Where steeper slopes are unavoidable on the route, we will go on such slopes if in my evaluation that there is no risk (snowpack conditions).
• This trip may not go ahead or be switched to a different objective depending on the conditions at the time and my findings on the reconnaissance trip where I scout out the best route.

You understand that there is still a possibility of avalanches on the moderate grades chosen and that there may be dangerous micro terrain.
