There is a new trail to access statlu lake via Chehalis-Mystery FSR and it's 2wd drivable!

i would like to bag Clarke&Recourse by using Matt Gunn's routes (not technical climbing) in two days.

Depends on the group size and abilities, we may also try Viennese Peak from west ridge.

Day 1, hike in and camp at upper statlu lake or higher alpine basin. Bag Mt. Clarke the same day.

Day 2, climb Recourse, if we are fast enough we can also give Viennese a try. Back to parking lot the same day.

Both days will be very strenuous and very early start. So you have to be very fit and able to do stiff 4th climbing.
