In preparation for ski season, we will have a quick overview session on Backcountry Ski Transitions. Skiers and Splitboarders are welcome! We will do a dryland overview on how to do a transition in poor weather. Being quick during a transition can help you cover more distance in a day and stay warm. Bring your gear and we will show you how we have become fast at transitions (going from ski to tour mode). Eventually, with practice, you can get your transition times to 5minutes!
You have at least 5 full days of backcountry skiing/split last season and completed AST1. You have your own gear (skis, skins, boots, bindings, and a backpack with all the required rescue equipment).
Please arrive at 5:30pm and we will start at 5:45pm. Doors will close and if you're late, you will not be able to attend as it will cause too much disruption. There is a hard stop at 7pm as we no longer have the room. This will take place at the Anza Club. I suggest coming a bit early as you will have to access the room via the pub which may ID you.
