Rainbow Mountain loop, approaching via the scenic and long East Ridge, where there are several sub summits, descent will be the normal route via Rainbow Lake. This is a long day with almost 2000m of ascent; I will be hiking at a fast pace; the first 1300m is straight up so you need to be able to keep a good pace going; please do not sign up if you are not confident of your ability. Anyone not able to keep moving will be left to turn back! This is planned as a 9-10 hr day with time to enjoy the alpine scenery; NOT a 12 hr day.
