Take the unmarked exit off Hwy 5 right at the top of the big hill (it's easy to miss), cross under the highway and park at the Zopkios brake check. We walk back across and ascend through forest on one of 2 route choices until we pop out onto mostly solid granite slabs and ridges to the top of Markhor and then on to Needle. Then back down Needle side with the crowds.. with option to scoot over toward Flat Iron for a cold dip in the small lake there.
