You: Have paddling experience in a canoe, extensive experience. You understand how tides/currents work, you know how to steer well, can paddle in rough conditions, and have done similar trips. You know how to pack for this type of trip, can dismantle and assemble your bike and have a great attitude/jokes.
The Trip:
30KM paddle across Pitt Lake + 25KM bike ride on FSR + 1KM hike and REPEAT to come home. 2 nights of camping
Day 1: paddle to Vickers Creek, camp. We will start paddling at 8am. The meeting time is 7:15am not the arrival time to the car park. You will have to park outside of the gate so allow yourself some time to get from your car to the water.
Day 2: paddle to the end of Pitt Lake, put bikes together, ride 25KM to hot springs, ride 25KM back to the canoe, paddle back to Vickers Creek, camp
Day 3: paddle back to the car park
I'm putting feelers out there to see if there is enough interest to run this trip. I'm looking to share a canoe with someone and I would like to paddle with an experienced person who can steer well and has done it recently. I can sit in the front. I have extensive paddling experience (over 10 years).
Canoe Rentals: If I confirm you into this trip I will share the canoe rental details. I will be booking the books fairly soon so please register for this event soon if interested.
**This trip is NOT suitable for newbies or people who haven't paddled in a long time**
Zoom meeting will be set up for accepted participants on July 13
