The weather is looking really good for Monday and I would like to get out and try to summit Williams Peak in the Chilliwack area. This is a 15km 1727m elevation gain day that takes approximately 9 hours to complete. A recent trip report confirms that there is still a fair amount of snow and the push to the summit requires travel up steep snow. Participants must be comfortable with route navigation, scrambling and steep snow. Pace will be moderate/social, enjoy the views, stop for lunch at the summit. I am not a guide or the leader we will work together to navigate and make decisions.
What to bring:
Ice Axe, Crampons, Helmet, 10 essentials
I just moved to Cultus Lake so won't be able to take passengers and will meet at the trailhead or gas station as its a pretty short drive for me but we can work out ride share in the planning forum among other participants.
