A potentially good shoulder season hike. Some views, but mostly only at the top. Kind of like the Grouse Grind. In fact, I think it is the Grouse Grind for Chilliwack. Pace will be moderate, length is ~8km. A good stiff hike for your first time out this season. Brush off the cobwebs and come on down!
Microspikes are advised (it is quite steep in places but it sounds like it is well traveled). Rain gear is also advised: I'd like to go unless there is heavy rain. What is heavy rain? I will probably pull the plug if its 25mm+. But a little sprinkling won't hurt anyone, and this is good training. Builds character! It could be a long day, so headlamp is a must! I'm probably going to wear hiking boots, but if you want to wear trainers then go for it but don't expect any sympathy from me. There will likely be ice, maybe even crappy, well traveled snow on the summit. Warm clothing is similarly advisable. It may still be winter on the summit.
