I've been here twice so far and on a nice sunny day like this Sunday, it looks amazing, yet so close to Squamish!
The pace will moderate, not fast but not slow either:)
Please be considerate and do NOT sign up unless you are 100% committed for the trip and you are at least an intermediate skier in the Backcountry, which means you have at least 2 seasons(10 trips) of experience. If in doubt about your capabilities send me a message and we can talk about it:)
This is a trip for intermediate and advanced BC skiers only. We won't do any crazy chutes but you should be able to ski black runs under any type of conditions .
We will drive the Mamquam FSR to KM 21. We can probably drive to 700 meters on the M22 spur. There is active logging there so the road is not in bad shape for an FSR:)
Some trail finding is required, of course.
I expect icy conditions in the morning, so ski crampons are mandatory.
MUST have :
AST1 training
Shovel, probe and avi beacon
Ski crampons- mandatory!
Food and water for the whole day
First aid kit!
Ski Helmet
Sunscreen/hat!
