Destination: Mount Sproatt NW slopes (Baldwin 3rd ed pg 104). Parking at the Cemetery in Whistler.
Trip Distance / Elevation: Depending on weather and avi conditions this trip will plan to ski a few laps in the NW slopes of Sproatt. Expect 18-20km of travel and up to ~1800m elevation gain throughout the day depending on the number of laps we get to. Note that Sproatt ski out can be annoying/challenging for split boarders.
Proposed Route: 21 mile creek trail for 3.9km then ascending the headwall left up past the famous yellow pee-sicle to the base of the runs in the open valley above.
Gear Required: Avalanche gear (shovel, beacon, probe), headlamp, spare batteries, 10 essentials https://www.mec.ca/en/explore/the-10-essentials-hiking-camping (including a map and the ability to use it)
Driver Compensation: Return Distance is 228km from St. Davids. If I read the guidelines correctly, this suggests ~$38 each passenger for 1-2 passengers or $76/(# passengers) or otherwise as agreed with the driver.
