I'm hoping to head up to Seymour and do some easy fitness laps of Brockton point, skiing down the resort. Depending on conditions and group enthusiasm, I could be open to heading towards First Pump Peak, although we would need to be conservative due to time of day and daylight hours. If it looks like a clear night a couple of laps, catching sunset on Brockton point (+/- BYO hot and/or alcoholic beverage) and then back down via resort would be super ideal!
This shouldn't be your first backcountry ski trip, but it is pretty newbie friendly terrain. All participants should have AST-1 and avalanche gear. We may opt to drill some companion rescue skills.
We have secured 3 PM BC parks day use passes, so as long as people are happy to carpool, we have sufficient passes for the group (1 pass per car, including all the passengers). If you would prefer to drive yourself, please get a BC parks pass. Given the current COVID situation, I would prefer masks for the short carpool.
