Ten hours Alpine Practice: mixed climbing on steep ( 60+ degrees ) snow, hard snow, ice and alpine 5.9 rock.

Practice includes: placing anchors, climbing / descending in pairs, setting up and moving on a fixed line, running belays, sitting hip belay, rappelling, ascending a rope using ascender / prusik knot, communication, distress communication, managing ropes.

Personal Minimum Required Gear: regular ax, at least one technical ax (preferrably hammer), crampons (aluminum ok), harness, helmet, two pickets with runners attached, two leg prusiks for thin 8mm rope, 5m or longer static cord, ascender (tiblock), belay device, snow shovel, avalanche beacon, five non-locking carabiners.
