Decker Col to East Col via Blackcomb Backcountry Access Corridor

24km 1600m gain

Day ski trip to Disease Ridge at Blackcomb.  This is a complement to Bill’s Decker Mtn trip.

We will skin up the Sunset Blvd Backcountry Access Corridor to the base of 7th Heaven and then head to Disease Ridge.  From Decker Col we will climb to East Col, ski down through Blackcomb Glacier Provincial Park and return via Glacier Road.

We are starting in the dark [ headlamp ] and you need to be prepared in case we return after dark [ headlamp ] .

Moderate pace.

Gear required: Your own 10 Essentials. Backcountry ski equipment.

Digital transceiver, Metal Shovel, Probe. Headlamp suitable for skiing. 

Organizer will bring GPS watch with tracks; Radios; inReach/Personal Locator Beacon; First aid kit.
