Rubble creek to Taylor Meadows
Dist 7.5 km, Elev gain 1050m, mixed terrain
We will start our hike at the Rubble creek parking lot and hike the 7.5 km up to the campsite. Then we will drop our overnight gear and head for Black Tusk. If conditions are difficult we might not make it but we should have beautiful views of the alpine. Those with BC ski can catch a few turns and we will head back to TM.
We will be spending a snowy alpine night in beautiful Taylor meadows under the watch of the Black Tusk monolith. This will be winter camping so be prepared for the cold (-5 to -20C), the only shelter we be the cooking shelter (if it's open). You should have at least a winter sleeping bag, insulated mattress, warm jacket, free standing tent, BC skis or snowshoe + your happy self. You should have AST 1 and avi kit to go into the alpine.
