Basic outline:
Use a WB Pass to ascend the Blackcomb lifts and depart out the back door towards the Spearhead range. Because I'm lazy, and the snowpack is still thin, this will be a limited vert day likely gaining no more than 1000m.
Mandatory equip:
Skis or split / boots / poles / skins / you know what you need.
A pass of some sort to access WhistlerBlackcomb lifts
If you roll up intending to purchase a $65 Backcountry Access pass, you are welcome to attend, but will likely find poor value in your purchase.
Meetup and logistics:
06:40 meeting, 06:45 departure from the usual spot behind Saint David's Church of the Holy Stoke, patron saint of the dirtbag skier. Figure out carpools and such while we're there. Drive up, get sendy, maybe have a beverage, drive home.
Extras:
I do intend on running a trip or two which will utilize the new Designated Access Route up Home Run and Sunset Blvd later spring once we have longer days. Short days in deep winter are not ideal for that.
