This trip is NOT suitable for newbies, you must have 15+ full days in the backcountry, AST2 or few years of experience. You feel confident to lead a safety meeting, can dig a pit, make an assessment and have a great positive attitude with jokes.

Pace will be chill/recovery/moderate. Goal is to tour up to Paul's Ridge/Round Mountain area, do some assessments (dig pit/compression tests), freshen up a companion rescue, ski and back to the cars for 3PM. 

Capable vehicle + chains required for the road.

7:20am leaving not arriving at St. David's church (parked and ready to go)

9am start skinning from Elfin Lakes/Diamond Head car park
