Planning a day hike to Panorama Ridge in Garibaldi Provincial Park, weather permitting.
The plan would be to start early, maybe leave Vancouver for 0630 so we can start hiking at 0800. The trail itself is close to a 30km round trip and could take between 10-12 hours total (excluding lunch). Please keep your fitness level in mind when signing up for this event.
I've been to the Black Tusk a couple of times but have yet to do the Panorama Ridge hike. There will be snow so participants must be prepared for cold temperatures and slippery conditions. Please have traction aids, warm clothing, etc. The days are short so everyone should also have a headlamp or other source of light.
Please see the 10 essentials for hiking and make sure you are prepared: https://www.northshorerescue.com/education/what-to-bring/
