This course is for BCMC members who are snowshoers wanting to learn to avoid avalanches, travel safely in the backcountry, and build their arsenal of mountain knowledge. 

Base course Fee: $230 + GST (Special price for BCMC Members; CWMS Non-BCMC Fee: $285 + GST)

Location: Mount Seymour**

**Note: in the event there is not adequate snow in mountains around Vancouver (most likely Mount Seymour), it may be pushed later in the season.

Course Objectives:

The AST-1 Course is delivered over Saturday and Sunday (17 hours total). For more information on the course curriculum, click here

Notes:

• Cost does not include transportation to/from course areas, lift access fees (if applicable), or personal equipment except as noted
• You must supply your own snowshoe setup. If you do not have your own equipment, you can rent from MEC Vancouver or from BCMC rentals.

(2)  Complete your payment directly with CWMS at the link shown on the left side of the page under "Course Online Payment". Make sure you select Feb 12-13. You will receive a confirmation email from CWMS once your payment is completed.
(3)  Forward your confirmation email to courses@bcmc.ca. You will then be added to the Confirmed List
