While there is scope for those wanting to stick with loppers, the focus on this trip will be to introduce safe operating procedures for using gas-fueled power tools such as hedge trimmers, brush cutters, and chainsaws for cutting perennial vegetation such as alder, willow, and cottonwood, which rapidly make our road and trail access impassible.  This is not a buckers or fallers course.  We won't be touching trees.  The work will take place on the Furry Creek FSR and the trail to Mountain Lake Hut.
