St. Davids Church in West Van at 6:00 am
We will head out early on Monday for a day of trail work cutting alder and cottonwood on the Watersprite winter route. We will have power brush cutters, small chainsaws, and a big hedge trimmer. For those not too keen on power tools, there is lots to be done with loppers. We will leave St. Davids Church at 6:00 am and plan on putting in a full day on the trail as it has not been done for a few years. There is also an opportunity to secure a rope to the sketchy log that is sometimes used in the winter. Some of us will be staying the night at the summer trailhead as we will continue the fun by joining the separate trip to work on the summer trail the next day when we join the fly-in trip to Watesprite Lake (group size is limited to four) . This means that I won't be driving out until Wednesday, so anyone joining us for work on the winter trail on Monday will need to have their own transportation.
