This course is for BCMC members only looking to obtain or improve companion rescue skills.  Course will be held July 31, 2021.

Note 1: if this course is not fully booked, i.e. 6 paid participants, this course may be cancelled and refunds will be provided to those that paid.

Base Course Fee:    $140 + GST (Special BCMC Members price).

Course Objectives and Itinerary:  Taught by Canada West Mountain School (CWMS). The 1-day BCMC Rock Course is for beginners and no prerequisite is necessary. An intensive full-day is spent on the rock learning and practicing climbing techniques, belay systems, rope management, and anchor principles. We have developed a comprehensive package of materials discussing equipment, safety procedures, knots, and principles of rock climbing that is sent out in advance of the practical session and prepares you for a lifetime of climbing.
