Event starts at 530pm and i can stay as late as 9, but you can leave whenever you like and arriving late is fine too.
There is a small hill with 3 poles we can use as anchors. We can set up, practice, and discuss various setups. I'll try to group people together based on how basic or advanced they want to practice and whether they want to practice roped (ie spring skiing) or unroped (summer) scenarios. Aside from that, I don't intend on giving any instruction as I'm not particularly experienced, I've just been thinking and practicing over the winter and want to work out a few kinks and throw some curve balls at people if they seem overconfident ;)
I especially would like to practice and talk about how potentially having to rappel (and re-ascending) down to the victim complicates gear lists and plans, but I'll try to save that for later on since not everyone will be familiar with rappelling.
Preference given to those who have their own equipment and at last a few people should have ropes, but if it doesn't fill up right away, those with no gear or less experience are welcome too.
Parking: To my knowledge, the parking lot on the NW corner of the forum (off of Renfrew) is free these days, and there's also parking closer to sanctuary pond.
Location: There is a hill with poles half a block north of the Hastings Bowl Skatepark. That's where we'll meet and practice.
