Dunkeld Peak is an insignificant bump around 1600 meters in height. What makes it interesting is its proximity to the proposed Coquitlam-Squamish trail.
Suitable trip for advanced intermediate or better skiers. Fitness level must be reasonable but days are long.
Headlamp required and spare batteries. Avalanche beacons, shovels required.
If people try to contact me, email is preferred. Don't send text messages. I don't receive them on my home phone. My cell number is 604 785-9848. It does receive text messages but I only turn it on sporadically during the trip meet up.
We'll meet at the climbing area parking lot adjacent to the start of Mamquam FSR at 7:30 AM since carpooling is not allowed. It's a long logging road drive of 28 km assuming we're not blocked by snow. If we're blocked by snow or road damage too far from the approach road, we can head back down and do the Martin Peak ski loop as a consolation trip.
