Reached from Cambie Creek by the Fat Dog Trail. We'll be skiing a line off the Three Brothers that may be a bit unusual.
Suitable trip for advanced intermediate or better skiers. Fitness level must be reasonable but you don't need to be a marathon runner. If you've got backcountry skiing experience and want to explore something new, this is the trip for you. It may be a long day. I'm thinking about 7 to 8 hours of travel total but it might be closer to 10. Lots of daylight, though.
Headlamp required and spare batteries. Avalanche beacons, shovels required. Bring warm clothes.
If people try to contact me, email is preferred. I don't receive text messages on my home phone.
My cell number is 604 785-9848. It does receive text messages but I only turn it when I'm driving to the trip meet up. The last cell reception is in Hope.
The meeting spot is Cambie Creek parking lot, a couple of kilometers east of Allison Pass on Highway 3. There's a parking lot and outhouse at the trailhead. It takes about 2 ½ hours to drive from central Vancouver to reach the trailhead. You'd probably need to leave Vancouver around 6 AM.
