The plan is to snowshoe from mount seymour ski resort to Brockton point and back. This is a fairly easy hike with about 4km in length and 400m elevation gain but given the snow precipitation (depth of snow) it may be harder than you think.
Meet when and where:
There is a signage at the bottom of the ski run and that is where we meet at 7:45am. https://goo.gl/maps/m4HaUS9yPkgk1VyRA
Skills needed:
This is not a technical climb, you just need to be physically fit for it. The pace is moderate.
Gear requirements:
10 essentials
https://www.northshorerescue.com/education/what-to-bring/
snowshoes or microspikes (it is up to you if you would like to bring snowshoes or microspikes, it really depends on how much it has snowed the day before. To my experience the route is well travelled and snow is packed that mirospikes will be enough)
Travel plans:
The parking lot is reserved for kiers! There is parking by the side of the road which fills very quickly on sunny days. There is a 15min walk (or a lot longer depending on where you manage to park) to the meeting point. Please plan accordingly.
