The trail is one way, so we'll start on the east side of Buntzen Lake. We will return on Diez Vistas on the way back.  Please see the BC Hydro website for more details on the trail and for maps.

Meet at 9:30 AM next to the east washrooms at South Beach next to Buntzen Creek. You can get the area map from the BC Hydro website. If you've cross a bridge, you've gone too far.  Also check under event files for a JPG that I have marked showing the location of the washrooms.

Please bring:

• Your 10 essentials
• Your lunch/snacks
• Good shoes, appropriate clothing (forecast is for rain)
• Hiking poles (optional)

Diez Vistas
Hiking time: 6–8 hours
Distance: 13 km (includes the ~4 km from Butnzen Lake Trail since it is a one-way trail right now)
Elevation gain: 460 m

This route is recommended for fit hikers only. Spanish for “ten views”, the Diez Vistas Trail is aptly named. Offering spectacular views of Vancouver’s waterways and mountains.
