Ever wanted to try winter camping but your friends and family think you are insane and don't want to join you? This is your chance to hang out with a whole group of potentially insane people, sleep in the snow, and get a couple sunset and sunrise laps if desired.
This is not a guided or instructional trip, more an opportunity to practice and learn together, discuss our gear choices and experience over dinner and breakfast, and enjoy a night out. Feel free to email me with questions, as I am definitely not an expert, but have done this a couple times and not only did not die but actually kind of liked it.
Due to Covid restrictions, everyone must be self-sufficient or own-household-sufficient and we can't share tents or cooking gear. Please bring your own tent, sleeping bag and mattress, stove + fuel, lunch, dinner, breakfast, and snacks.
Use of the hut should be limited to "in case of emergencies" although it is there if anyone needs to warm up.
As per usual, beacon, probe, shovel, and 10 essentials required, as well as intermediate skiing ability and a sense of fun + adventure!
