Gear needed: helmet (obligatory), harness, belay device, climbing shoes, personal anchor, 12 Draws (if you are lead climbing), variety of slings, dynamic rope, anchor material, 6 locking carabiners. Obviously not everyone will have all the gear on this list. Please also bring water, lunch, sunscreen and bug spray if you need them.
