Gear needed: water (2 litre min.), extra food, whistle, warm jacket or fleece, tuque, sun protection, bug spray if you think you will need it
I will carry a first aid kit and all other essentials for safety.
Pace: moderate to a faster pace with some short breaks (a few min.) and some time at the top to have lunch and enjoy the view (I usually stay at the top for about 20 to 30 minutes depending on how the group feels). The hike will take 7 to 8 hours.
Summit: The trail is steep and more difficult after passing the HSCT junction. The goal is to get to the west summit.
Meeting place: Meet at the gate at the Sunset Trailhead at the end of Sunset Drive in Lions Bay. Pay parking is in effect and you will need to pay for the whole day (I think it is $24). There is free parking lower down on Mountain Drive.
