Tim Horton's parking at Coast Meridian and Hwy 7
This is an introduction in anchor building for top roping where there are existing bolts in place. This is not a refresher course. This is more for new climbers that want to get into the outdoors climbing in single pitch crags and want to learn how to setup good anchors.
Prerequisites: Basic knot skills (figure eight, clove hitch, water knot (aka ring bend/tape knot), double fisherman’s)
Requirements:
-Harness
-Helmet
-Suitable clothing for the weather
-Cord (7 or 8mm) (min 6m)
-Non-lock biners (min 2)
-Locking biners (min 4, more recommended)
-Available sewn slings (optional)

The plan is to meet at Tim Horton's parking lot at Hwy 7 and Coast Meridian in Coquitlam at 8 am. We will be heading to Dennett Bluff climbing crag in Coquitlam. There will be no carpooling, so plan accordingly. If the weather is not cooperating, the course will be rescheduled on Sunday if weather permitting.
