Home Fitness Challenge - Week 1: April 1-4
Trying to stay motivated to work out and keep in shape for when we are allowed to play in mountains again.....
note: this is not instructional, but had to post it as such to have it advertised to members.
For this month long challenge, we will use a google doc to set and record our daily/weekly fitness goals, and track our daily/weekly progress. At the end of the month, the winner will be the person that has the highest record of achieving what they set out to achieve. Your goals can be as anything that keeps you active, especially now if you are working from home, and your laptop on a kitchen table isn't exactly ergonomically correct! Goals can be as serious as the guy who ran a marathon on his patio (true story!), to just making more of an effort to stretch more during the working day.
Feel free to set your own plan, or follow along with mine (to be posted over the weekend). Below is an example of what a week may look like:
Week 1: Goal: 20 minute circuit, 4 days/week
Actual: 20 minute circuits, 3 days/week = 75% goal met
Week 2: Goal: 30 minute circuit, 4 days/week
Actual: 30 mins/ 4 days/week = 100%
...and so on.... the person that gets the highest percentage of completion at the end of the month wins.
Bonus points to those that organize and/or participate in any pop-up work outs that may or may not be posted....
Whats the prize? Bragging rights, when your the first up the mountain when the time comes :)
At the end of the month, we will celebrate with a zoom call and share our experiences!
Unless of course, we are allowed to meet up for burgers and beers :)
The challenge is open to everyone, regardless of what is is you want to achieve. We will leave the discussion board open for conversations - please, feel free to support each other through this time and take the opportunity to stay connected with our community!
Participant rules...
if there is interest, I'll set up a zoom session with a fitness video we can all follow along to, and have a chat afterwards - of course, if allowed we can meet up for beer and burgers to really celebrate :)
