Fun climbing on quality rock with easy access. Suitable for all skill levels with excellent infrastructure for Top Rope, sport & trad climbers.

skills Needed: Proficient belayer, Anchor building, Route finding, Route cleaning, Abseiling with a back up.

 Gear Needed: Helmet (obligatory) Guide book, Harness, Rock shoes, Belay/abseil device, Personal anchor system, 12 Draws, variety of slings, Squamish Rack, 60 Mt. Dynamic Rope, Anchor material, 6 locking carabiners. Obviously not everyone will have all the gear on this list.

Camping: Bush camping close to crags. Nearest BC campground Buttle Lake, RV campground in Gold stream.

Crags are approximately a 3 hour drive north from Nanaimo ferry terminal.

I will be making a booking at Buttle lake for the weekend, I encourage other interested people to do the same.
