The objective is to ski laps off of Iago in the Coquihalla. The bowl between Flatiron and Needle is an alternative. The route looks relatively straight forward, but can be a little confusing the woods, but you should be comfortable with winter, backcountry navigation. There may be some bush whacking and route finding involved.
Avalanche safety and awareness training is mandatory (e.g. AST-1, AIARE Level 1) as are beacon, shovel and probe. You don't have to be the greatest skier, but the backcountry is not the place to learn to ski.
Trip will be rescheduled if avalache forecast is high or extreme or if weather is really poor.
