*This trip is dependent on good/dry weather*
The plan is to leave Friday after work (or in the morning if you’re taking the day off) and drive down.
Climb Saturday, Sunday, and half day Monday before returning.
This isn't a course, and as I have never climbed on Mount Erie, I would like to limit the number of beginners on this trip as I am not familiar with the terrain. The crags are not too far apart, but I don't want the responsibility of keeping track of people. If you are a pair that wants to sign up and will climb together, then you're more than welcome to join.
I bought the guidebook on a recon trip last summer. Lots of sport, trad, and mixed routes. Not sure what ratio of sport-trad-mixed, so do some research on mountainproject before signing up to make sure you'll have enough to climb.
We will be camping near the crag at a campsite attached to the Lake Erie Grocery and Trailer. Its right on the lake, and a short 5-10min walk to the crag.
Participants will require a minimum of the basic climbing gear (harness, belay device, pas, helmet and 2 locking carabiners). Each pair will need a rope, so please coordinate with one of the other participants in advance.
As we will be in the US, please make sure you have purchased travel medical insurance that covers rock climbing/mountaineering.
