Round and Around

Ski Tour Up and Over Round Mtn and Laps on Paul Ridge

Starting from Diamond Head trailhead. Short break at Red Heather Shelter (5km).

Some minor route finding for the Up and Over segment.

Summit of Round Mountain is 1646m.

Expect to be back after dark.

Digital transceiver, Probe and Shovel. Headlamp suitable for skiing.

Gear for Winter Backcountry travel. AT ski equipment.

We wear our ski helmets for the downhill.

Organizer will bring GPS; Personal Locator Beacon; First aid kit.

Access to Diamond Head Parking (Elev ~900m) is a narrow unpaved mountain road which can be rough, muddy, icy, or snow covered. Snow tires and carry chains required.

Recommended carpooling amount approx $25. Please bring funds and arrrange with driver.

Bring a treat such as chocolate or cheese to share :)
